John D. and Mary G. Hancock Scholarship in Mathematics Education

John D. and Mary G. Hancock Scholarship in Mathematics Education is awarded to a student pursuing a CA state credential program for the teaching of secondary mathematics. To qualify for this opportunity, applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Successful completion of CSUEB Single-Subject Matter Waiver Program in Mathematics or equivalent
  • Have a minimum 3.0 GPA for those courses
  • Demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA or CA Dream Act
  • Shown promise of leadership in the field, attested to by two letters of recommendation

- Award will disburse evenly, in the upcoming Fall and Winter terms, during the time recipient is undertaking credential work
