Tenacity Scholarship

The Tenacity Scholarship benefits students each year in the Communication Department on the basis of financial need and educational resolve. To qualify for this opportunity, applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Be a full-time student majoring in Communication at the time of application
  • Will be enrolled in the upcoming Fall quarter
  • Have a minimum 2.0 GPA for undergraduate students or 3.0 GPA for graduate students
  • Have financial need, as demonstrated by filing the FAFSA or CA Dream Act
  • Submit a 250-word personal statement that explains how your persistence has enabled you to continue in school despite personal challenges and obstacles. The statement should consider: academic and professional dreams and goals; family and work obligations; and personal characteristics that have helped you persist in school
  • Be a US citizen, permanent resident or AB540 Dream Act student
  • Submit TWO letters of recommendation, via the General Application

- Award will disburse in the Fall quarter

Supplemental Questions
