Ellen Beth Scholarship in Communicative Sciences & Disorders

Successful candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  1. Be a full time undergraduate or graduate student in good standing and majoring in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology
  1. Demonstrate financial need by completing a FAFSA
  1. Submit a 300-500 word personal statement and include topics such as:
    – Why a college education is important to you
    – Your reason(s) for selecting Cal State East Bay to accomplish your educational goals
    – Your current and long-term educational, life, and career goals
    – What difficult life circumstances you have had or are currently facing as you pursue your educational goals
    – Your interest in and long-term goals within the field of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology
    – Your personal philosophy of therapy
    – Who has inspired you to achieve your goals
    – How this scholarship would benefit you
    – Your experience as a foster youth or former foster youth
    – Your experience as a single parent or as a child of a single parent
